Displacing 1,441 cm3, the Ninja ZX-14R powerplant is Kawasaki’s most powerful naturally aspirated engine.
Delivering heady levels of power and strong torque across the rev-range, it can propel the Ninja ZX-14R to its lofty top speed at a very high rate of acceleration.
Belying this astounding performance is a surprisingly well-mannered character: gentle low-rpm response makes in-town riding easy.
And revisions to the ECU and exhaust for 2016 ensure that strict Euro 4 emissions regulations are cleared – all without sacrificing engine performance.
Optimised chassis rigidity and idealised suspension settings allow the Ninja ZX-14R to deliver a blend of nimble handling and superb stability.
Its extremely well balanced chassis package enables the Ninja ZX-14R to shed its weight as soon as it gets underway.
A relaxed, sport riding position makes it easy to become one with the bike.
Light, neutral handling is complemented by good chassis feedback, which facilitates sport riding.
And, along with the Kawasaki-original aluminium monocoque frame, the suspension’s road holding performance and firm bottoming resistance contribute to sporty handling while ensuring rock steady high-speed stability.
While the Ninja ZX-14R’s mighty engine performance was intended to be experienced unfiltered, riders may elect to take advantage of the some of the advanced electronic riding aids provided to suit riding conditions or preference.
3-Mode KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control).
Three modes cover a wide range of riding conditions, offering either enhanced sport riding performance or the peace of mind to negotiate slippery surfaces with confidence.

Power Modes
A choice of Full Power or Low Power modes allows riders to set power delivery to suit preference and conditions.
Low Power mode limits output to approximately 75% of Full Power and uses a milder throttle response. (Reduction of both power and throttle response varies according to engine speed (rpm), throttle position and gear position.)

Combining both KTRC and Power Mode options, riders have a choice of eight different combinations to choose from.
For example, an experienced rider on dry pavement might choose Full Power and KTRC Mode 1 for sport riding.
On a wet and/or slippery road surface, Low Power and KTRC Mode 3 might be selected.
Each system can be set independently to best suit rider skill/preference, riding location and road conditions.

Owners will also be able to enjoy a top-of-theline Öhlins TTX rear suspension jointly developed with Öhlins especially for the Ninja ZX-14R (and available on Special Edition models of the predecessor in certain markets).
Renowned for its quality and high performance, the Öhlins shock is an excellent complement to the capabilities of Kawasaki’s flagship model.

Enhancing the already mighty performance of the Ninja ZX-14R is no easy feat.
To bring the braking performance of the Ninja ZX-14R to the nextlevel, the same type of brake system as that of the Ninja H2R was implemented.
The Brembo system includes the best components available for a mass-production model.
Special tuning at the Brembo factory ensures that all play has been removed from the system, so that when the brakes are called for, they respond immediately.
