COMPACT PARALLEL-TWIN ENGINE TUNED FOR LOW-MID RANGE TORQUE
The 649 cm3 Parallel Twin engine’s tuning is focused on achieving a throttle response that balances a powerful feeling and a quick-revving character.

With Digital Fuel Injection (DFI®), the engine delivers a smooth, responsive performance with strong mid-range power for an exhilarating ride.

When opening the throttle, riders will notice an extremely smooth and powerful engine character that offers both a high level of control when making minute throttle adjustments and a gratifying rush of acceleration in the lower rpm ranges.

Engine updates have also resulted in an increased high-rpm performance and improved fuel economy.

SHARP, SPORTY STYLING
Sharp new looks give the Versys 650 a stronger Kawasaki identity, while reflecting the sporty nature of its fun, versatile package. But the looks are also functional, offering a balance of style, wind protection, aerodynamics and airflow management.

The new upper cowl features a horizontally split design that reinforces the compact and sporty image of the Versys 650.

Along with the sporty designed front fender, the aggressive new design contributes to a strong Kawasaki identity.

INVERTED FRONT FORK
Long-travel ø41 mm front fork with stiff springs is the key to active control of the bike’s front-rear weight transfer. Separated functions for each tube allow all adjusters to be at the top of the fork for easy adjustment.

With these settings, combining both long travel and stiff springs, this yields the benefits of both off-road-style and sport-bike suspension, offering excellent road holding in a wide range of street riding conditions and superb feedback, enabling aggressive sport riding.

SLIM, UPRIGHT RIDING POSITION
The compact engine and slim frame result in a design that is narrow at the knees and feet. Re-positioned foot-pegs offer a more relaxed position, making it easier for riders to spend more time in the saddle.

The combination of a compact Parallel Twin engine and a narrow, lightweight trellis frame enabled by the offset lay-down rear suspension, contributes to the slim design and makes it easier for riders to reach the ground with their feet.

ADJUSTABLE WINDSCREEN
The larger windscreen with a 60 mm range can be adjusted without tools, allowing riders to tailor their wind and weather protection.

With this windscreen, not only does this help reduce wind noise and helmet buffeting, but it also creates a serene space behind which high-speed riding can be enjoyed.

The new cowling design helps direct airflow away and around the rider.
